Unlike VMC Lite, it is totally plug-and-play. BUT, the only big difference between Mobile Partner and VMC Lite is after installation, Mobile Partner’s Connection Settings needed to be configured before the modem can connect to the network. So the modem given by Celcom is from Vodafone, which is originally a Huawei but rebranded to Vodafone, but has modified firmware to support Celcom network.īoth are autorun and auto-install everythime you plug the modem into a PC or laptop. Celcom has this so-called joint venture with Vodafone for the 3G broadband promotion. The other one, Vodafone Mobile Connect Lite (VMC Lite) is a software bundled inside the modem which is supposely to be supplied to Vodafone user. IMO, Huawei’s Mobile Partner is a better software compared to VMC Lite, because Mobile Partner has more options to be accessed, sucks less memory usage & virus free! Mobile Partner is the original software from Huawei for their modem.
